Abstract

This document describes in full illustration the definitions and
associations of a script kiddiot, their actions and their role on
the Internet in full gory details

1. INTRODUCTION

Script kiddiots are the foundation for anarchy and recklessness on
the Internet, and are often misconstrued and labeled as hackers by
media types who do little to investigate the heart of a matter.
Instead media often option to use the term hacker in an effort to
publish what they deem news to the extent of it being nothing more
than a story filled with inconsistencies, which attract visitors by
the use of the popular term hacker, and remember more traffic means
more advertisers to sell space to.

2. Script Kiddiot Outline

2.1 General Remarks

A script kiddie is nothing more than a wasteful user of bandwidth
on the Internet. Often possessing little knowledge of anything the
typical script kiddiot often originates on ISP's such as America
On Line where they frequent chat rooms under monickers such as
xXxSoMeThInGsCaRyxXx often dropping the x's in their names as well
as replacing vowels with numbers in an effort to intimidate those
with lesser clues than the script kiddie.

2.2 Origination of Names

Names used by typical script kiddiots will be synonomous with
a typical command or function in an operating system or otherwise
related once again to appeal to other script kiddiots. Properly
thought names such as p1ng, and r0ut3d can define the extent of
their creativity.

2.2.1 Definition of Script

The term script was compounded from shell scripts of pre written
programs that were created in most cases by others with true
skills then submitted to security based sites. These clueless
users then download these programs and use them for malicious
purposes such as attacking others or defacing websites.

2.2.2 Operating Systems

Typically a script kiddiot usually begins on a Windows based
system and often moves along into the world of Unix almost in
cases flooding web based forums and mailing lists with the same
questions, "Which version of Linux is best", "Where can I get
Linux", "How much is unix", "How do I set up PPP", "How can I
compile a .c file."

2.3 Free Sites

Script kiddiots were once limited to having websites at most of
the free based web space service providers such as Geocities,
Xoom, etc., but they have recently begun to register domains in
an effort to gain popularity amongst each other.

2.3.1 Ages

Script kiddiots are usually young adults and are most often
under 20 years of age. There have been many instances of older
script kiddiots we have encountered and the conclusion we can
only provide is that these persons are almost always lonely
persons in search of attention and or friends. They may also
be outcasts in their workplace or social environments and can
almost always be seen hanging around the younger kiddiots as
they are given the attention they crave.

2.3.1.1 Defacements

Defacements are almost 99% of the times assinine, and make no
relevant sense to anyone aside from the Script Kiddiot in their
own mind. Excuses will often be used by Script Kiddiots such as
some form of political motivation but the underlying factor is
almost always the same, the Script Kiddiot is solely defacing a
website in an effort to brag to other Script Kiddiots. Script
Kiddiots have defaced websites for reasons so inhumanly retarded
such as declaring the love for some other teenage girl or boy in
once again an effort to prove to another moron of some sort of
elite status amongst one another.

2.3.2 Denials of Service Attacks

Denials of Service attacks almost always occur for the same
reasons, the need for an outcast to feel some form of power or
belonging in the Script Kiddiot community.

Mafiaboy was one example of a script kiddiot and although he
pleaded guilty to charges, we highly doubt he was alone in his
actions.

Denials of Service attacks can range from annoying spam which
can use up all the resources on your mail servers, to flooding
messages on a webserver's forum which again can use up resources
causing the server to crash, to a script kiddiot sending bad
packet data to a target in an effort to halt the target from
sending or receiving information.

Denials of Sevice attacks often make Script Kiddiots feel as if
they actually have any sort of skills when the fact remians that
the Script Kiddiots are one of the lowest form of scum on the
Internet.

3. Authority Figures

Script Kiddiots normally attempt to make their actions stealth in
efforts to masquerade their incompetence although they can can be
seen immediately. Most are in groups which consists of a selected
person to act as the head of the group. We have noticed that most
of the heads of these groups are almost always less knowledgeable
than the emerging Script Kiddiot members. The leader most likely
will promote him(her)self as knowledgeable by always having their
browser opened on a search engine page so when questioned they can
quickly find answers.

Most leaders will also shout profanities attempting to belittle the
other members of the group in hopes of retaining some form of order
and respect from others. These leaders are lesser than the previous
mention of the word scum

4. Law Enforcement and Media

Law enforcement and media do little to assist the situation most of
the times, and sometimes instigate Script Kiddiots to perform some of
the actions the Script Kiddiots do. This can be assessed from all of
the misreported stories claiming the Internet was going to suffer a
major Script Kiddie attack towards the ending of the year 2000.

No attacks occurred whatsoever and officials had declared they had
evidence months before the holiday season. Reasoning should point out
that most of these agencies are under funded and often attempt to
raise their budgets by overstating events and pointing out Script
Kiddiots as their burdens. Law enforcement officials are sometimes
very well underdeveloped in the technology field often making some
of the biggest mistakes someone with experience would not overlook.

Media will print and or post almost the most inconsistent information
in regards to security and are quick to call a Script Kiddiot a hacker
when the fact remains a Script Kiddiot is always a Script Kiddiot and
nothing more.

5. Research

Research on Script Kiddiots is often difficult should you care to
browse all of the free pages on servers worldwide. We suggest doing a
quick search on google for words such as "31337" and "Hacking"

The biggest website for Script Kiddiots can be viewed by going to

stupidest Script Kiddiots in all their glory.

The focus of this document is security; hence security considerations
permeate this memo.
