There's one problem with your argument, however. Do you honestly think that the FBI would spend countless dollars on investigating a chat window on some farm family's home computer? ISeems rather redundant.

I would have to compromise a very large business or actually cause major damage to gain the FBI's attention. Changing a wallpaper to Patrick from Spongebob and talking with a local cop doesn't usually throw up a huge red flag as a major act of cyber terrorism.
