Thread: Before I get into trouble here

I wanted to ask if it's OK for me to ask for help in cracking a commercial program. I said, "ask for help", not "Plz crack me dis shit."

I know that the EXE is compiled in Delphi (6.0 or 7.0) and that it's protected with ASProtect 1.23RC4. I have a valid CD key I can test against so I can use OllyDBG or IDA (which I prefer) to see working and non-working keys and try and make the program accept any key (cracking it).

I would like help on getting the target unprotected (which means getting the imports fixed and fixing the OEP, restoring stolen bytes), then cracking the program itself.

I'm going to say its okay, because i see nothing in the rules against it; however rather than giving the name you could give a short description of the program. "e.g. its a 4 letter IRC client, that starts with 'm'. "

If you want, PM me with the link. I could see if it can be done I.E. If the program uses ASProtect's own license scheme, tough luck. I dont have enough time to dedicate to the registration scheme. I know its RSA-512 through to 1024 and it can be keygenned using the ol PRNG bug. But as i said, if this is the case, tough luck!

I am trying to unprotect Magic Workstation. I know there is a crack, but it applies to the Workstation and not the Play module.
