The patriot act would not have passed if it were not for 9/11, that perpetual state of fear has kept it in existence. This ignorance out of fear is what allows these types of bills to be passed.

Private security companies like Blackwater/Xe/Academy or Kroll & Bechtel already protect the rich and the industry, Glencore, BP and similar can control the flow of all natural resources, Goldman Sachs is storing 25% of the worlds aluminum production, Futures and Forwared (Generally all derivatives) pitch prices to levels way beyond the actual value, Food companies like Nestl? or Danone control the world food market, ...

We can't have an "alternate" because the current system allows for easy taxation, if we still used gold, then the government would be unable to tax us efficiently, the reason they like our current monetary system is because of inflation, inflation is basically a subliminal tax to everyone who participates in the monetary system which is just about 99.98% of every one alive today, the process of inflation is very simple, yet they try to make it sound like rocket science on TV, this is how the subliminal taxing works~

The government needs money to pay police to arrest every one, they find out they don't have enough for this fiscal year.

In order to acquire the amount of assets and money needed for the fiscal year, they rev up their paper making machines and print out loads of 20s, 50s or whatever, say they printed out $1,000,000,000,000 in 3 months, you might be thinking how those one trillion worth of paper are worth anything right? Just because they printed some nice looking pamphlets with green sparkly ink doesn't mean they already have a value equal to any other bill printed out, for every bill that is printed out the value is divided among all the other notes in the economic pool.

This basically means the government is taxing you hundreds of dollars for the money they are making, every time a $100 dollar bill is printed, its is leached from all the money in circulation, making the money you have right now worth just a little less, it's basically a huge mathematical plot to make the process of stealing from under your nose look and sound like a legitimate process.

If we we're using gold, they wouldn't be able to do this, they can't print gold and make your gold worth less in the process since you can't make it in huge bulks or at all, they would have to use IRS agents to go house to house taxing people and killing every one who doesn't pay up just like they used to before the settlers reached stole america from the indians and mexicans.

Anyway, we can't have an alternate because no, I'd like to see you create something that can be refined into gasoline and used as a lubricant for mechanical equipment without causing millions of people to die and costing an astronomical amount of money.
