Thread: Online Privacy

Freedom of Speech is about the most important thing to me in the world,
the Government and the FBI, RIAA etc. all invade our privacy, the FBI shut down hackers websites and send virus writers to jail.
The internet is about free speech and if everything is censored, then how can anyone say what they want to say?
Luckily a few underground forums like this one still live on and discuss coding, but in the future the government will pass a bill to legally open up anyones server/email and read/destroy any information that they find unappropriate, we can host what ever we want! Why? Because its ours!

The RIAA, say that P2P is bad, but why? Sure people rip off artists, but all songs are, are a load of 0's and 1's, thats all we are stealing??

Just one last thing about the AV companies,

Imagine if every hacker/cracker/coder just stopped what they were doing, and decided to stop, EVERY AV/Firewall company would fall, no one would buy their software and they would crumble...
So why are the government putting people in jail who keep another persons buisness alive???

Answer that one!

Government sucks, they want to control everything, but they do not want that others can control something. Thats what i think.

drkdreams, it's the good/bad paradox. without good, there is no bad (and vice versa). but when you really think about it, what is bad? something that isn't good? and good is something that isn't bad... it makes perfect sense, and yet it is completely ridiculous. when you really think about it, good and bad only exist in society's eyes.

yes, I agree, the (U.S.) government is bad. Mr. Bush is doing a horrible job... I wouldn't hire that man to clean toilets. sending an army to invade another country, when the whole scheme is based upon false evidence and "fixed facts", is a pretty big mistake. and it's not just his fault... we didn't see cheney or rumsfeld try to stop him. and can you guess why? [BOLD]OIL[/BOLD]. it's fucking ridiculous, and I blame every single one of those capitalists on Capitol Hill.

btw, i dunno if any of you play guitar (i do), but for those who do... the RIAA is also trying to take down guitar/drum tab websites, saying they are forms of copyright infringement (even though they are the tab author's own interpretation and not the original artist's). just shows how far they will really go to make money.
