    Post Hacking a site ? ( a chat site to be more specific)

    Hello there!

    simply :p ..how to hack(Or program) a site plz?(i know how to use VB) O.o.. how to hack a chat site to be more specific O.o (i believe it has less security) ..
    well i used to hack sites about 5 or 6 years ago :S..now i cant remember how to hack sites again..and dont worry im a very fast learner

    seriously mate if you want a refreshers course on web hacking have a look at http://www.hackthissite.org, I started out doin web hacking, web defacement and lamer stuff, till I hit the applications challenges, then I got a copy of vb6 and kinda went nuts from there..

    1. View the page source. Have a look to see if anything interesting is there.
    2. View the robots.txt file (if it has one).
    3. Run a port scan.
    4. Check if there is an admin page. Try guessing the credentials.
    5. See if there is any exploitable daemons running.
    6. Try running Medusa on things like an SSH daemon.
    7. Google (without the quotes) 'Site:yoursebsitesname.com' and see what interesting pages come up.

    Just a little basic guide line to help you out. Don't PM me to do it for you, I don't care about your problems.
